Photography teachers vs. poseurs - the Jesh de Rox phenomenon
The industry is fed up with bullsh!t seminars and workshops put on by talentless hacks. Has it gone too far? Can we get back to being taught by TRUE teachers?

I have been a wedding photographer for a very long time. I love going to workshops of all kinds, and sometimes people ask why I am there. Often, people ask why I am not teaching them. And yet, I always learn something new. Not all 'talent' has to do with the photos you take. Real learning comes through experience, and sometimes the experience I have at a workshop has nothing to do with taking pictures. Yes, some are better than others. But I always learn something, and make new friends. I applaud anyone who has the courage and willingness to even try to give a workshop, and teach others. And I don't feel bad for the "inexperienced, budding talent". Learning is a process, and every little bit helps. Even a "bad" workshop is a good learning experience for something

It has gone too far, I wonder... Why do people even register and show up for such workshops??? I mean really... Why bother??? I feel bad for inexperienced budding talent.. They just don't know where to go for real learning. Sad.
